Sleep well? You bet, until the dogs started barking at who knows what this morning. No McKid today, so it was nice to just laze about a bit.

Desktop image? A flock of flamingos, what else?

Planted something? I don't plant. I have a black thumb. I have an African Violet on my windowsill I have grown from a cutting a dear friend gave me that amazes me beyond all reason that it still exists.

Condiment? Salt. If that's not a condiment, then I guess mustard.

Quote? What! here we are with the jolly world of God all round us, able to sing, to draw, to paint, to hammer and build, to sail, to ride horses, to run, to leap; having for our splendid inheritance love in youth and memory in old age, and we take one miserable little faculty, our one-legged, knock-kneed, gimcrack, purblind, rough-skinned, underfed, and perpetually irritated and grumpy intellect, or analytical curiousity rather (a diseased appetite), and let it swell till it eats up every other function? Away with such foolery...Note that pedants lose all proportion. They never can keep sane in a discussion. They will go wild on matters they are wholly unable to judge, such as Armenian Religion or the Politics of Paris or what not. Never do they use one of those three phrases which keep a man steady and balance his mind, i mean the words (1)"After all it is not my business." (2)"Tut! tut! You don't say so!" and (3)"Credo in Unum Deum Patrem Omnipotentem, factorem omnium visibilium atque invisibilium" in which last there is a power of synthesis that can jam all their analytical dust-heap into such a fine, tight, and compact body as would make them stare to see. I understand professors need six months' holiday a year. Had I my way they should take twelve, and an extra day on leap years.---------Hilaire Belloc

Did you sleep well last night? no, not at all :(

What is your current computer desktop image? sunrise with "God" rays (spirit-skies)

When was the last time you planted something, what was it and where did it go? it was a thought that i planted into my daughter's head that she should go try to find her suitcase at her nan & pop's house or she will never make it home...

What's your favorite condiment? may-o-naise.

Share a quote that you like, for whatever reason. "come on in boys...the water is fine." (from o brother where art thou after delmar had been baptised...)

Appetizer: Sleep? With twins? You must be out of your mind girl ;-)! Not to mention, we also have kiddos #5 and #6 joining us as well. Then add to that the stress of trying to sell our current house and buying a larger one. Nope - I haven't had a decent night's sleep in a long time.

Soup: Well, it WAS Napoleon Dynamite, but it drove my husband crazy with the sounds so I changed it. Now, it's a painting of the Blessed Mother with the Christ Child and John the Baptist.

Salad: We "planted" St. Joseph in our Mary garden last week.

Main Course: Not sure I have a favorite condiment. Does chocolate count?

Dessert: St. Frances of Rome: "It is most laudable
in a married woman to be devout, but she must never forget that she is a housewife. Sometimes she must leave God at the altar to find Him in her housekeeping."

Sleep: Yep. The AC was working.

Desktop: Christ crucified, taken from the Phatmass site.

Planted: This is a touchy subject. I planted lots, but we've had no rain, and it's all crisp and brown and dead now, so I'm pretty miserable.

Condiment: Ketchup.

Quote: "There is no neutral ground in the universe. Every square inch, every split second is claimed by God and counterclaimed by Satan."

Main Course - A1

Dessert - Chesterton: "The act of defending any of the cardinal virtues has today all the exhilaration of a vice."

Sleep well? Yes, esp. since we bought a new mattress. Goodbye back pain, and hip pain, and shoulder pain!

Desktop image: A closeup of Black Eyed Susans I snapped at the local zoo..

Planted something: 3 flats of mixed pansies in the front bed of the house we sold a month ago. New Owner has let them die :(

Favorite Quote:

Untaught, yet wise! mid all thy brief alarms
Thou closely clingest to thy Mother's arms,
Nestling thy little face in that fond breast,
Whose anxious Heavings lull thee to thy rest!

Appetizer
Very well, thank you!

Soup
A picture of Amalia Rodrigues

Salad
A bunch of herbs, in my herb pots by the door. They are all there, doing well, except for the one thyme that was planted between two more aggressive plants. It's a goner.

Main Course
Truffle honey mustard from Taylor's Market in Sacramento

Dessert
"You won't have Richard Nixon to kick around anymore!"
-Richard Nixon

A. Sleep? I have kids. 'Nuff said (although I sleep better than my wife, who is a light sleeper. When she reads this, she will gaffaw and write a blistering comment about how I sleep like arock).

So. Image? My boys at the Rangers/BoSox game.

Sa. Planted? Hahahahahahaha. I think I was in 3rd grade, it was one of those bean sprout in a cup things.

MC. No doubt, gotta be anything that involves horse raddish.
