Not that I don't like St. John Chrysostom--but I think many of his pointed homilies would've been like spittin' into the wind if it hadn't been for the monumental effort of Athanasius, laying down the "Son of God" doctrine and standing firm as the raging Arians ever-so-slowly backed down or died off!
I can't decide!!!!!!!
BUT, in their icons, St. Athanasius is more,um, SUBSTANTIAL than St John C. He could sit on him and keep him down. So, I go for St. Athanasius, by a hair.
