Friday's Feast

Appetizer - To relax, I go to church and sit in the quiet. Quiet is a big thing.

Soup - I laugh at the McKid all the time. The latest was her playing "superclaw" with PapaC, making the Jaws noise: Dum-dum, dum-dum, dum-dum AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!

Salad - Texture? Crisply starched PapaC shirts when I pick them up from the laundry.

Main Course - My autobiography would begin: "In a galaxy far, far away......" :-)

Dessert - We celebrate St. Patrick's Day by going to a friend's house who makes the absolutely MOST DELICIOUS corned beef ever! We drink beer, eat and laugh. A good time.

Appetizer - I go to my easy chair, turn on some Abby Newton cello music, and read or cross-stitch.

Soup - The sound of my two oldest kidlets snoring on the couch, where they fell asleep waiting for their father to come home from work.

Salad - Soft, silky baby hair.

Main Course - Lookin' for Love in All the Wrong Places...

Dessert - Indeed! Shepherd's Pie, Harp Lager, Irish Coffee made with Jameson's. Oh, yes, and the wearin' of the green!

Umm. I guess it's been a bad week.

The viscosity of that first sip of red wine.

Corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread and Harp beer.

Appetizer - Where do you go when you want to relax? coffee shop knitting sounds niiiiice. when i want to relax during the day & i have the boys? we go to the museum. we have a membership, i can sit back & watch them play while i knit.

Soup - Tell about something that made you laugh this week. My little brother. Michael needs to be a comedian or something. And my kiddos make me laugh all the time.

Dessert - Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? If so, how? Yup. no real traditions. It varys year to year. I reallly want to order an irish breakfast this year. My parents cook em real good. I think we're going to listen to Behan with my parents if we can get a babysitter. I've been told I have to be designated driver, since i'm pregnant and all.

Aisling, where is Behan playing on St. Pat's? Or are ya'll going on Saturday?

we celebrate my eldest daughter's birthday every saint patrick's day.

They are playing at the Tipperary (sad that I can't spell that, huh?) Inn on Thursday. I went to the webpage & saw they were there today too.

Hey, someone mentioned Abby Newton! Marvellous! Her album of eighteenth-century Scottish music is so lovely. At least something good was happening here while we invented the Enlightenment and wrecked EVERYTHING... sigh...

Joke I heard Saturday. Baptist minister tells his parishioners to take all their wine, beer and whiskey and throw it all in the river! Then comes the closing song: "Shall We Gather at the River?"
