Godfish: I wouldn't have a choice, as I'm sure the McKid would take over the naming job!

Bad movie? Haven't seen a bad movie lately. I don't watch many movies, though.

Trade lives? I think this is an interesting question, because it doesn't ask about permanent trade, just for a day. There are lots of people I'd trade with for a day. First I'd pick the Pope, just to see what goes on inside the Vatican!

Season? Fall, because I love the cool air after a Texas summer. Two things to like about Fall? Thanksgiving and football!

Buy? Well, it used to be diet cokes, but I've pretty much given that up. I'd say junk food like cheese crackers.

Fish: Larry, Moe, and Curly

Movie: "War of the Worlds" -- ugh! It consisted primarily of Tom Cruise running and two kids screaming.

Day-swap: I think it would be really good for my spirit if I could be a New Orleans refugee...it might put a dent in my self-centeredness.

Season: I used to like spring before it disappeared. So I'm with MamaT on this one...gimme fall! I like kicking through the fallen leaves. I also love jumping into a big pile of them that somebody else raked up!

Buy what I don't need: Not a thing. I'm as cheap as they make 'em!

Fish: Eenie, Miney, Moe

Movie: That "Elf" movie with Will Farrell (the kids rented it). I hated it.

Person Swap: A Sister of Charity somewhere or a Carmelite nun.

Season: Fall. And not just because there's no humidity, but that's a big plus.

Non-Essential buy: Uh....hmm. Where to start...? Chips....pretzels....that whole aisle, really.

appetizer: michael, gabriel and raphael.
soup: some crappy orlando bloom movie. it was so bad i cannot recall the name. something about heaven and earth or heaven and hell or somebody just kill me so i don't have to watch this movie anymore.
salad: the woman i'm supposed to be.
main course: WINTER. cold and cold.
dessert: fun stuff from avon.

Appetizer: Hicks, Hudson and Vasquez.

Soup: I watched _Deadfall_, a relatively old movie, on DVD a few months ago with some friends. I cannot believe that Nicholas Cage was still able to work in Hollywood after that. :/

Salad: Gale Anne Hurd. And can we swap lives on one of the days when she was working on _The Terminator_ or _Aliens_?

Main course: Monsoon. I love the way the air smells right before the rain comes down and the way the asphalt smells right after the shower ends.

Dessert: Do my DVDs count? I buy to collect, not necessarily to watch.

Dear MamaT,

What's the worst movie you've seen this year so far? Hidalgo (saw it on DVD, and boy was it a huge disappointing yawn-fest).

No. I used to think I would, but of recent date I can never think of anyone with whom I would like to do so.

Main Course
What's your favorite season? Name 2 things you love about it.

Autumn--in the north the changing of the leaves and the heavy smell of woodsmoke as people start to use their fireplaces again. The High Holy Days. Apples in late September and apple cider; pumpkins--ice cream, cookies, cake, soup, bread; in Florida, the return of the songbirds, herons, egrets, and population, the gentle mellowing of the green, blooming of cooler weather flowers, the dormancy of mosquitoes.

Dessert
What is something you frequently buy that you don't really need?

Books and more books and more books, oh and chewing gum.

shalom,

Steven

Appetizer
Ulysses, Jack, and Beowulf

Soup
Star Wars

Salad
Some horseman in Mongolia.

Main Course
The overlap between Indian summer and autumn, because I can have a warm day, eat an ensalata caprese with Molina Creek dryfarmed tomatoes, then have a nice slice of porchetta with a wild mushroom risotto (and a good Super Tuscan wine), then a chocolate madeleine and a snifter of calvados, followed by a walk in the crisp air with a good cigar.

Dessert
Licorice
