.....two weeks later. I say that is a testament to how good the materials really were--they have really fascinated the McKid. One of her favorites is this one, straight from Joshua 1:9
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be terrified.
Do not be discouraged.
For the Lord your God
Will be with you
Wherever you go.
Wherever you go.
A simple song, but one that I tell McKid that she needs to remember, and write in her heart. And so do I.
Click here and you'll go to a Youtube video where you can hear the music. This is a lot different from the music I normally post--not liturgical. Just fun!
I buy the kids the CD for VBS every year & this is. ALL. we have been listening to this weekend. The Pricess A thinks the songs mean party time (and she didn't even ATTEND VBS). Fun stuff, but we have a 45 min drive tomorrow & it might accidently get left at home ...
I'm glad to hear it's good, since this is the one my church will be doing in 4 weeks!
I just laughed out loud, as I've been singing that song all morning. Normally I have a strict no-kiddy-music-in-the-car rule, but I have loosened it for the PowerLab CD. Seriously, it's been a real gift to have my girls constantly singing and dancing to these songs. :)
(Except "Untitled Hymn" though, which is an old fave of mine, but it's totally the song you play at your funeral with a slide show of photos from your life, and it makes me think about dying every time I hear it... I get especially choked up during the last verse.)
