I've had this conversation with several people. Apparently, Fear Factor only pays about $50,000 which is not bad, but after taxes, say, $30,000. Now, I would love to have someone give me $30,000 for it, but I'm not going to drink bile or eat bugs for it.
I think people go on reality shows to try to get famous without working for it.
