Here's today's question:
Have you ever missed an important appointment because you have become so engrossed in a book you forgot the time or were up so late reading that you didn't wake up in time? Been late to work because you couldn't resist the temptation and left the house too late?
No, not that I know of. I have, however, walked around in a deep fog because I am sleepy from staying up too late reading. THAT is a common occurance!
Guilty of that deep fog thing myself.
I recently discovered that it is possible to fit a standard-size hardback book across the kitchen drawer next to my stove, for easy reading-while-I-cook!
I think there a big chunks of my life missing... :) I know I used to miss school - because I didn't 'feel well' because I had been up too late reading, then when I was refreshed I spent the day in bed reading some more. Naturally, this became more of a problem when I was in college without parental supervision. Having a family and becoming the 'grown-up' has made me a little more disciplined. A little.
