
These are the last of the bluebonnets in the flowerbed outside our church. The seed pods are full, but you can't tell that from this picture. They'll reseed, die out, and we'll have bunches of them again next spring. Right now they look more like weeds than the state flower!
How sad. Another bluebonnet season gone that I've only been able to enjoy vicariously.
Next year I'm going to get to Texas for the bluebonnets. Somehow.
They're lovely.
(Just to let you know how uneducated this Illinoisian is, I thought the yellow rose was your state flower... yipes!)
