Fine Art Friday on Saturday - The International Quilt Association Edition

|

Every year in November, there is a huge quilt show and market in Houston.  I have a friend who lives down there who always wants me to come.  Now, I'd love to see all those quilts up close and personal, but frankly I'm afraid to go.

Why?

Because I've always wanted to learn how to quilt, that's why.  And I just know if I were there, surrounded by all that quilty-goodness, I would decide that there's no time like the present and come home with a carload of fabric and batting to store in my closet until some magical future time when I actually have time to do this.  And then I'd feel guilty every time I looked in my closet at the wad of fabric.

So, I wait 'til the beautiful quilts are showcased on line and ooh and aaah over them remotely.

I get in less trouble that way.

Here are some of my favorites.  And you can see all the award winners here.

Enjoy!
