Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread,
so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness,
the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.
-- St. Pio of Pietrelcina
Truly one of the most fascinating saints. During our conversion I couldn't get enough info on Padre Pio's life. Each year on his day I'm taken back to those feelings of wonder.
And apparently he's the partron of chili peppers. Good to know.
Yes, well spicy, saucy momma's aren't really all that smart because you are using this copyrighted artwork without permission! I might look the other way, if say, you were to at least give me credit for my hard work. But just so you know, Padre Pio was known for using ground up chili peppers in his healing ointments. I used the image of the chili pepper as kind of a "joke" because the shape resembled the proverbial "Sacred Heart" and of course the flames worked well too. In other words, it's basically kind of poking fun. So it may not be exactly what you want to be posting here anyway.
Yummmm. I heart mexican food. chilli!
Wow. This image came up on a Padre Pio Google search, I was by no means attempting to take credit for it. My humblest apologies to the artist; it is a fantastic image and you absolutely deserve credit. I am hugely sorry. I'll remove it due to the lack of permission and thanks for the valuable lesson. Peace!
To the other commenters, I deeply regret offending anyone. In complete ignorance the photo was used without the artist's permission, however the Summa Mamas do not allow name-calling on any level here. Your comments will be deleted. Air your anger on the issue on your own blog.
