Korea has "won" the race

How many five-dollar words does it take to turn an evil into a good for society?

The allusiveness of this manipulation of the language is mind boggling. I am now rarely surprised at how much mileage is gained from the misplaced compassion camp.

I mean these are the....

"NEW AND IMPROVED, THERAPEUTIC EMBRYOS!!

Guaranteed to give you guilt free research you gluttons hunger for...as if it were even possible to take a step down from the basal citizenship of the embryo itself!

And on the horizon..............

what monsters we are for merely questioning the authority of the powers that be.

I mean it's "real people" Like Michael J. Foxx in the forefront of our cultural consciousness -vs- a mere belief system.

Awwww

Kids and the Lord's Prayer

I had been teaching my three-year old daughter, Caitlin, the Lord's Prayer
for several evenings at bedtime,
she would repeat after me the lines from the prayer.
Finally, she decided to go solo.
I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated
each word right up to the end of the prayer:
"Lead us not into temptation," she prayed,
"but deliver us some E-mail.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One particular four-year-old prayed,
"And forgive us our trash baskets
as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."
What your Worst/Best Valentine's Present??
SpecialK's --
The jury is still out whether is was best or worst.
In high school my artsy fartsy beau, who worked in a dentist's office, made me lightening bolt earrings out of the filling silver -- It was the 80's.
But best all around was hubby filling our bedroom with balloons. Inside were tiny slips of paper where he had written just stupid lil' things that he like about me, or us. Small things that I had thought went unnoticed...Whooooo I cried . . . and I'm starting to cry now just thinking about it...I sure do hope baby comes soon. I'm getting bored of the mood swings.
Thank you Jesus.
I will probably be a sporadic blogger for another few weeks.
The Braxton Hicks contractions are getting stronger and it has been difficult to do much of anything but prepare for this new person. I guess I have been in delivery denial for some time. As I have been nesting like a crazy loon for a few weeks now. Around the same time the contractions started to get stronger, I started on my "mission."
Truth be told, I am not too proud to say I am a bit scared. The number four seems so much bigger then three. I have been driving my spouse nuts with rearranging furniture, spending too much, painting, cooking etc....I am almost exhausted enough to be but not quite yet.
Now, many, many thanks to everyone who "voted" for a name. However, it is a difficult task to tally...I had many new choices. By-the-by, a message to the "Olivia Campaign Headquarters" - and you know who you are - I am afraid the name has officially been Howard Dean'd. Although, faithful supporters as you are, I am certain you will find a way around that 'lil ole technicality.
So, many, many thanks to everyone and my apologies for being so sporadic...please pray for us.
